Welcome, my name is Cara Robin.
Are you feeling lost, stuck or overwhelmed? I am here to offer you the opportunity to explore your authentic self with non-judgemental, caring, support. You may have received black and white messages about who you are supposed to be, or how you are supposed to feel that just aren't quite right for you, but you aren't sure of the alternatives.
Or perhaps you are comparing yourself to those around you, and you are left feeling out of place?
You may find yourself at a crossroads, unsure which direction to go, leaving you feeling uncertain, overwhelmed or confused. Or perhaps you know exactly where you want to go, but can't figure out how to get past the things that are holding you back.
I work with you to help you feel more in control of the things that may currently feel out of control. I am an integrative counsellor, meaning I use different models and tools to adjust my practice to work with you and your goal for therapy. Similarly, I work in a relational way, meaning I am accountable for the role I take as your counsellor. I am non-defensive and open to exploring what may arise in the counselling room in order to offer a reparative relationship and experience.

Grief effects all of us differently. I approach grief flexibly and compassionately, balancing empathy with education to help you with your loss. I approach grief not from a perspective of getting over it, but how we can live alongside it.
I have worked with social anxiety, phobias and those with an anxious attachment style. Anxiety can mean different things to different people, it's always worth getting in touch for a chat to see if I can help.
Sometimes it's easy to compare ourselves to others. To curse our uniqueness and to wish we could fit in more, be taller, thinner, more outgoing or perhaps quieter. Together we will explore your barriers and blocks to self-esteem.
I have worked with clients who have experienced physical and emotional abuse, helping them learn to trust themselves again and rebuild autonomy and confidence.
People's experience of medical emergency, either their own or as a witness can stay with you for a long-time, regardless of the outcome. I have worked with clients to explore the resulting fear, uncertainty and brain fog that can sometimes come from this.
Communication is a skill, and a skill that is often not fostered or taught effectively. I have worked with those who are struggling to get the best out of their relationships, who find themselves fighting when they don't want to be and who feel there is something missing.
